A live design task, hero redesign and two LinkedIn ads, delivered over a weekend.
Rocket SaaS, a B2B demand generation agency, sent a design task as part of their interview process on a Friday evening: redesign their marketing site's hero section and produce two LinkedIn ads. It was due Monday morning.
The brief called for something that felt more alive than the agency's existing static hero, without turning it into spectacle. The rebuild added a 3D rocket model, a particle field, and the brand's mascot into a single interactive scene, built in Cursor and deployed live rather than handed over as a static comp. Sending a working URL instead of a Figma file meant the reviewer could actually experience the interaction, not just look at a picture of it.
This one isn't a mockup either. The live site below is the actual task submission.
The task went out Friday evening and came back Monday morning, and the agency responded within the hour. Whatever the rest of the process looked like, that response time says something the design itself can't: this held up under a real deadline, for a real brief, sent to a real company.
