Design systems built to hold up at volume, in two regulated industries three years apart.
Both roles asked the same question in different industries: how do you keep output consistent when the volume is high, the rules are strict, and someone else is checking your work against a brand or compliance standard before it ships. MTN answered that question in telecom. Paradigm answers it now in US healthcare.
MTN operates under a brand system that leaves little room for interpretation, every asset gets checked against guidelines before it ships. The work was mostly around photography: choosing and styling images that felt energetic and authentically South African without breaking the strict typography and colour rules sitting underneath them. Layouts were built to repeat, banners, deal tiles, app pop-ups, and print all pulling from the same modular structure so campaigns could move fast without drifting off-brand.

Paradigm's work sits in US healthcare, dense, regulated, and high-volume in a different way. Conference decks, compliance documents, and social content all need to communicate complex information fast, without losing accuracy. The system leans on templates that hold their structure however the content inside them changes, so a new statistic or a new slide doesn't mean rebuilding the layout from scratch.
The throughline across both is the same: neither role rewarded decoration, they rewarded systems that other people could actually use without breaking them. That's a different skill from a one-off brand identity, and it's the one that scales fastest when the volume is high and the deadline is short.
